A landscape photo is better with people in it, people give context, story, feeling.

We’ll keep it real and fun. We’ll laugh a lot. We’ll spend time getting to know each other so when the big day comes, we’re like old friends sharing memories. This is how great photos are created. We’re a team, my photos are nothing without wonderful people in them.

I want to know your story, and have that story reflected in my photos. I want my images to capture not only what you look like, but who you really are. That’s your legacy, when your kids’ kids see images of you and they know your character from your photos.I want to know your story, and have that story reflected in my photos. It’s true; I have an odd name. It might take some getting used to but don’t worry, we’ll have plenty of time to get to know each other. It makes me smile with pride when my couples explain it to someone who mistakenly calls me Jon; we’re like old pals by that point.

Jon-Mark Photography: The Best Victoria BC

I’m a Victoria BC based wedding photographer and I’ve been capturing memories and creating art for my couples since 2007. Yeah, my first name is Jon-Mark and it’s kinda weird, I credit my Montreal raised parents for the French flavour! I’ve worked in my hometown of Victoria, throughout Canada, and in 7 countries worldwide from Cuba to Japan to the tiny island of Bali in Indonesia.

I’ve shot hundreds of weddings done every which way, and I wholeheartedly believe there are a million ways to do a wedding right; The best way is the way that is authentic to you, your relationships, and your family. There’s nothing I love more than genuine moments with life and energy and laughter! Capturing the joy of the day and making sure you have a blast while we work together are the most important things to me.
