I’ve been
capturing memories and creating art for my couples since 2007 in my hometown of
Victoria, throughout Canada, and in 7 countries worldwide. I’ve shot hundreds
of weddings done every which way, and I wholeheartedly believe there are a
million ways to do a wedding right; The best way is the way that is authentic
to you, your relationships, and your family. I work with all my couples to help
them figure out what their day will look like and how to plan for the best
possible photos so they don't have to worry about it. My approach is informal
& professional: I want you to relax and know you're in capable
hands. I'm more of a talker than a writer, so take a look around, and drop
me a line if you have any questions! I’d love to have you over to my
studio for a drink and get to know what you and your partner are all about.

ELISE & JEFF’S ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHS AT GYRO PARK

After our first and second attempts at scheduling an engagement session got thwarted by typical Victoria weather weirdness, Elise and Jeff (and me!) lucked out with an absolutely beautiful evening this past Monday night.
We spent some time at Cadboro Bay Beach/Gyro Park, followed by visiting a nearby glade I had never seen, then a little time near the Chinese cemetery along Beach Drive and finally a little light painting in Beacon Hill.

SYLVIA & MATT’S WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY IN VICTORIA, BC

It seems to be a recurring theme that I have funny connections to many of my clients from years ago.
With Matt and Sylvia, we were all at Esquimalt High School at the same time and I worked with Sylvia at the Mcdonalds up the road at my first job.
Naturally, that meant that I knew many of their wedding party members too, and what a fun group it was.
We were treated with beautiful weather for their big day on Saturday, and after some photos at Beacon Hill Park, we headed to the Navy base for the Chief and Petty Officer’s mess hall for the reception.

KIM & DAN’S WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE CITY CLUB LOUNGE IN DOWNTOWN VICTORIA

It’s always fun to encounter a different take on a wedding, a different feel.
I first met Kim years ago while shooting her cousin Laura’s wedding which took place just across the street from the Parkside Hotel where Kim and Dan got hitched.

It was a scorching hot day, and I can’t say any of us were fans of the “green” climate control at the Parkside that day ( No A/C! ) but it was a beautiful place for a ceremony in the rooftop garden atop the hotel.

Following some photos in Beacon Hill Park we headed back to the top floor for a very relaxed evening at the City Club lounge. Here are a few favourites Victoria wedding photography.

MIKE & JANINE’S WEDDING AT ST. ANNE’S ACADEMY & THE FIRESIDE GRILL

This was a hot one. Hot enough that Mike was able to conceal his tears during the ceremony with sweat, but everyone was roasting.
After a beautiful ceremony in the backyard of St. Anne’s Academy, we headed out for photos along the water by the Chinese Cemetary, followed by a visit to Mystic Vale on the edge of Uvic.

That kind of light is what I crave all the time, and it’s so worth stepping outside for! Here are a few favorites wedding photography from Mike & Janine’s big day.
I was treated with 15 minutes of outside shooting time with Mike & Janine during the reception along with some gorgeous evening light.
